Acquisition, Disposition, Real Estate Development and Condominium Conversions

• Represented Compass Group LLC as the seller of the historic Publick House hotel and restaurant complex in Sturbridge, MA.
• Represented Carroll Rehabilitation, Inc. in connection with the acquisition, financing and construction of a 28,000 square foot physical and post-surgical rehabilitation facility in Hyannis, MA.
• Represented Burke Real Estate, LLC as seller (and liquor license transferee) of the West Street Grill in downtown Boston.
• Represented real estate trust division of U.S. Trust/Bank of America in connection with the re-development, subdivision and sale of several agricultural parcels in Western Massachusetts.
• Represented a large Boston development firm in connection with the acquisition, financing and condominium conversion of a fifty-five (55) unit apartment building in Somerville, Massachusetts.
• Represented a large Boston development firm in the redevelopment of a former mall property in Worcester, MA.
• Represented The Sherborn Group in connection with the financing, acquisition and development of a sixty (60) unit condominium building in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
• Represented The Sherborn Group in the financing, acquisition and development of a residential, hotel and golf course development for the NFL Alumni Association.

Debt Finance and Secured Lending

• Represented Citizens Bank in a variety of lending transactions, including, but not limited to, real estate acquisition financing, construction loan financing, corporate receivables lending and interest-rate swap transactions.
• Represented The Faneuil Companies (a private equity and dept resource).
• The Firm is a registered agent for Stewart Title Guaranty Company.

Permitting and Zoning

• Issued legal opinion to Independence Community Bank (a New York State chartered savings bank) in connection with the implications of commencing a real estate lending practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Represented KIMCO real estate investment trust and the Glidden Paint Company in connection with certain retail landlord/tenant issues.
• Represented a landowner in Truro, MA in connection with a prescriptive easement issue, and a land-swap with the Federal Government.
